Financial Assistance
At Dame Allan’s Schools, we are very proud of our long history of providing support to pupils who would not otherwise be able to access the excellent opportunities we offer to our pupils. It is our firm belief that academic excellence should be nurtured and developed regardless of parental circumstances.
Over recent years, financial assistance has been provided to over 10 per cent of pupils with many receiving support at a level of 100 per cent.
Financial assistance is offered in the form of scholarships and bursaries. It is available to any student entering Year 3 or above, but the majority of bursaries are awarded in Year 7.
Pupils can be in receipt of both scholarship and bursary awards.
Bursaries
Bursaries are made available to applicants whose parental circumstances are such that they would not be able to attend the Schools without such an award. They are means-tested and awarded on academic merit.
Prospective pupils must sit the entrance exam in January to be considered for a bursary.
Bursary awards are worth up to 100% of fees.
Scholarships
Academic Scholarships
Academic scholarships are available for pupils joining Years 7, 8 and 9. They are awarded by the Schools based on a child’s academic merit. Academic scholarships are worth a maximum of 50% of fees.

Girls - Hockey, Netball and Cricket
Boys - Rugby, Football and Cricket
Sport Scholars will be expected to attend all appropriate coaching sessions, train all year round and be available to attend all school matches and competitions.
Sport scholarships carry a value of up to 25% of fees.
The results of the sports scholarships will be announced in February, and will be subject to successful candidates passing the School's entrance examination.
